Meet Chance

Republican Chance Walker of Marmet has filed pre-candidacy papers to run for the House of Delegates in District 52 which encompasses a large part of the upper Kanawha Valley including, Marmet, Chesapeake, Rand, Malden, Cabin Creek, East Bank, Pratt, Montgomery, Parts of Charleston, and Belle. “As a lifelong West Virginian and current resident of Marmet, Walker said, he was “inspired to run for office to ensure that his children will be able to build a life in the state he loves.” He continued by stating that his focus will be on “making West Virginia a better place, to live, work, and raise a family.”

Walker is a lifelong resident of West Virginia, father, and current resident of Marmet. He is a product of the West Virginia public education system, and a first-generation college graduate. Having graduated from Marshall University with a degree in Business Administration. He is currently a residential sales consultant at Teays Valley Heating and Cooling, a company that has served our community for 51 years.

Walker indicates he will be accessible and will listen to the citizens of the 52nd district. “As a delegate, my priorities will be bettering our economic climate, bringing more jobs, and economic development to our area, and working to expand vocational trades and educational opportunities for our children.

Walker’s platform will also include working:

  • Fighting to bring transparency in government.
  • To uphold prolife principles and protect the unborn.
  • To Protect 2nd Amendment Rights.

“With my fourteen years of business and sales experience, my deep commitment to giving back to the community, and my desire to leave West Virginia a better place for my children, I believe I will bring a unique perspective to the house of delegates by advocating for common sense conservative values.
